- Story Text: The doctor who delivered Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins over the weekend said the world's most famous babies are very healthy out of their incubators and doing just fine by their mother's side.
"No no no. They are fine they are with their mother. There are no problems, none at all," said Dr. Sussmann when asked by reporters early Tuesday (July 15) if the twins were still on oxygen after the caesarean-section delivery late on Saturday.
Sussmann had admitted feeling the pre-birth pressure in dealing with one of the world's most famous couples.
"Yes, yes, yes. Everything is ok. The babies are with the mother," Sussman added when asked if the twins were breast-feeding.
Oscar-winning actress Jolie gave birth to son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline at the Lenval hospital in the southern French city of Nice.
Dozens of reporters, cameramen and photographers have been camped outside the hospital on the glamorous Promenade des Anglais waterfront to report on the birth.
Several U.S. networks added to their ranks on Monday in preparation for the couple's departure either by road or by air.
Pitt, 44, was at 33-year-old Jolie's side for the birth.
Vivienne Marcheline weighed 2.27 kg (5 lbs) and Knox Leon weighed 2.28 kg. Marcheline was the first name of Jolie's mother, also an actress, who died of cancer last year. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
