- Story Text: Germany's World Cup squad poses for the cameras before coach Joachim Loew's team trains for Thursday's warm-up game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Germany defender Andreas Beck became the only player to be cut from coach Joachim Loew's World Cup squad which posed for cameras in Frankfurt on Wednesday (June 2).
Germany's 27-man preliminary squad was reduced to 24 players when captain Michael Ballack, fellow midfielder Christian Traesch and versatile defender Heiko Westermann were ruled out of the June 11-July 11 tournament with injuries.
Loew declined to call up other players to replace them.
He also stuck with all six strikers, in spite of the absences in midfield.
After a photo opportunity with the team travelling to South Africa this coming Saturday, Loew's players held a training session at Frankfurt's stadium in preparation for Thursday's warm-up game against Bosnia-Herzegovina. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
