The Adam Sandler comedy "Just Go With It" celebrated its German premiere on Monday (February 21) in the capital Berlin with both Sandler and co-star Jennifer Aniston delighting fans at the red carpet.
Danny, played by Sandler, is a plastic surgeon who picks up women by wearing a fake wedding band. However, when he meets the girl of his dreams, he decides to hide the ring and use his own charm. Much to his dismay, Palmer, played by model Brooklyn Decker, his new girlfriend, finds the ring and demands an explanation.
Soon, Danny's assistant, Katherine, played by Aniston, takes up the role of his fake wife. One small lie leads to a complicated web of lies that takes Danny and his pretend family on a trip to Hawaii.
One of the major themes dealt with in the movie, is the world of plastic surgery, something which Aniston says is unnecessary.
"I think women need to learn to age, need to know that aging is beautiful and that, you know, if you look at the women in Hollywood who have let that happen, they are gorgeous. Then there are some that have gone too far and i don't think it looks as beautiful as it could but that's everywhere. That's not just Hollywood. Maybe there's more pressure, it's society, you know. Talk to me in ten years," she told Reuters TV in Berlin on Monday.
As for the stereotype of men wanting younger women, Sandler says he doesn't follow that trend.
"I've had several of those but then I found it, you know, let me just go with someone who can tolerate me being on top of them," he said.
Starring as Danny's love interest, Palmer, is American fashion model Brooklyn Decker. This is Decker's first lead role in a film and says she really enjoyed it.
"You can really work on something, you can study, you can ge better, you can change characters. There is so much that I love about making movies and I've been very lucky with this being my first film so now I just want to get better and hopefully successfully fully transition into acting. Fingers crossed," Decker told Reuters TV.
"Just Go With It" is directed by Dennis Dugan, who has directed Sandler in some of his best-known roles, such as "Big Daddy" and "Happy Gilmore."
