And this is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me (pointing to wife). And then we had four kids, so that's better than any 50 movies, each kid is better than 100 movies. So it's irresistible and also I didn't have to make movies." BEATTY AND BENING SPEAKING TO REPORTER (SOUNDBITE) (English) WARREN BEATTY, ACTOR, SAYING: "A little bit, a little bit. But every time it's different. Also when you act and direct at the same time you kind of feel appropriately different. And when you act and direct at the same time at least you have one actor who sort of knows what you want to do."

- Story Text:Veteran actor Warren Beatty was honored by The Museum of the Moving Image in New York on Wednesday (November 02).
Beatty picked up the organization's 30th Black-Tie Salute for his over five decade career in the film industry.
Beatty walked the red carpet with his wife of 25-years, actress Annette Bening, who listed the reasons why he is deserving of the night's accolade.
"He's been making movies since, well what year was 'Splendor in the Grass?,'" Bening asked her husband as he responded with 1960.
"For all of those years and all those movies. And then, you know, he happens to have just made a new film, which is very exciting for me. I'm super proud of you that you did it," she added, speaking of his new drama "Rules Don't Apply."
The 79-year-old Oscar winner is best known for appearing in the so-called classics, "Bonnie and Clyde," "Shampoo," "Dick Tracy," and "Bulworth."
After a 15 year hiatus from the big screen, Beatty is returning with a project he wrote, produced, directed and stars.
"When you act and direct at the same time you kind of feel appropriately different. And when you act and direct at the same time at least you have one actor who sort of knows what you want to do," joked Beatty.
In the film, set for U.S. release on November 23, Beatty portrays billionaire Howard Hughes. Drama and romance comes into play as one of Hughes' contract actress falls for one of the company driver. However, he is engaged to someone else and under strict order not to have relationships with any actresses.
Cast members including Collins, Matthew Broderick and Alden Ehrenreich helped Beatty celebrate.
"Warren's funny, so you've got to play a little bit to the funny side. But we're all so incredibly honored to be a part of his project and here to honor him. So there's a serious note as well," said Collins.
The young actress, admitted she didn't know much about Beatty, but her father, musician Phil Collins, sparked her interest as a child.
"One of my dad's favorite films is 'Heaven Can Wait,' so I was very much aware of his name growing up. And I love old Hollywood, so it's something that I was very attuned to. Didn't know enough going into it, in terms of how working with him was going to be, but I wanted to keep it a surprise."
Past recipients of the award include Tom Cruise, Clint Eastwood, and Hugh Jackman. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
