- Story Text: Hundreds of supporters of Hillary Clinton packed an auditorium at a South Florida college on Tuesday (October 25) to hear the message of their Democratic presidential hopeful with just two weeks before Election Day.
Broward College in Coconut Creek is one of many campaign stops Clinton will make in the critical battleground state where early voting has already begun. Her Republican rival Donald Trump has several events planned in Florida on Tuesday.
"I am voting for Hillary Clinton because the future of the country is at stake, the future of the world is at stake. Donald Trump isn't just a man that has the wrong policies but he is not even sane. He really don't understand what it takes to be in office let alone president. He has no experience, he is a TV show host and he is doing this because he has crowds that come out and cheer for him. He has no idea what he is saying, he literally gets up and talks and doesn't make any sense. He is incoherent," 59 year-old Florida resident Larry Richman told Reuters.
"I am a woman. I am Muslim. I am from Pakistan and I am a proud taxpayer. I have paid taxes all of the years that I have worked and I am close to retirement. This is why I am siding with Hillary because she makes me feel like I am part of America and he (Trump), made me feel for the first time that I was not part of America," said Rukhsana Ayyuv, a U.S. citizen born in Pakistan.
According to the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project, which surveys the vote in battleground states, Clinton leads Trump in most of the states that Trump would need to win to have a chance of amassing the 270 Electoral College votes needed to capture the White House.
According to the survey, she had a better than 95 percent chance of winning, had the election been held last week. The mostly likely outcome would be 326 votes for Clinton to 212 for Trump. The Electoral College votes represent a tally of wins from the states.
Trump has disputed multiple national and state polls that show him lagging Clinton and accused the media of distorting poll results to discourage his supporters from voting. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
