- Story Text: Musician Rod Stewart was knighted at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (October 11), calling the experience "mind-blowing" and "wonderful".
Rod, who will be given the title Sir Rod, was honoured by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, in recognition of his services to music and charity. After the ceremony, he said he'd told the duke he'd continue touring "because I've got eight children."
Asked whether he thought U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would become the next president, the 'Maggie May' singer said, "although he's sort of a friend of mine... I don't think he's made to be a president."
The entertainer, joined by his wife Penny Lancaster and two youngest children, Alastair and Aiden, said he'd celebrate by meeting the Queen at the Royal Academy of Arts and a "big dinner for 200" later. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
