So I think the trade was a big moment. I think illegal immigration was good but I would have rather had more time on it because frankly, it's so bad what's going on. All you have to do is talk about Kate's law, but it's so bad, speak to Bill but it's so bad what's going on. But I really like the discussion on, on trade. I felt he was fine but I felt it was fine and they also had, gave me a defective mic. Did you notice that, my mic was defective within the room. So I was, I wonder was that on purpose. Was that on purpose, but I had a mic that wasn't working properly with working properly within the room. But overall I thought it was great, and if you look at all of your polls, they are through the roof." No, I don't think so. I thought he did a great job and I thought that you know look I think Hillary Clinton flip flopped on TPP and I think one of the points that he made over and over again is look, Secretary Clinton you had the opportunity to do all these great things in regard to ISIS and foreign policy for all of these years and you were secretary of state and you didn't get it done he made that point over and over again. I think if you're sitting at home you you hear that you say you know that's right, all these ideas all these great plans. You were secretary of state and it didn't work. What's amazing to me is that she had all of these plans and all these details, she remembered every detail right. But thirty nine times when the FBI asked her whether she remembered anything about how she was trained at the Department of State, whether she even took training anything she heard about e-mails, she didn't recall. Thirty nine times she couldn't remember a darn thing. That's the Hillary Clinton that we know." REPORTER ASKS: "Rudy Giuliani just said this was not Donald Trump's best night.” "I didn't hear that. No I thought he did a great job. I don't I don't remember what you did. I just don't agree with him, I thought they did a great job tonight. I think he went toe to toe with Secretary Clinton. I think he did exactly what he needs to do. I think he did a great job." VARIOUS OF SPIN ALLEY

- Story Text: Democratic U.S. presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican rival Donald Trump faced off on Monday (September 26) in the first of a series of televised debates that could prove crucial to who wins the White House.
Just after the debate at Hofstra University in suburban New York ended, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump hit spin alley, surrounded by reporters.
"I think talking about trade was great because nobody, nobody discusses it and no jobs are being just absolutely destroyed. So I think the trade was a big moment. I think illegal immigration was good but I would have rather had more time on it because frankly, it's so bad what's going on," Trump said.
"But I really like the discussion on, on trade. I felt he was fine but I felt it was fine and they also had, gave me a defective mic. Did you notice that, my mic was defective within the room. So I was, I wonder was that on purpose. Was that on purpose but I had a mic that wasn't it worked properly with, working properly within the room. But overall I thought it was great, and if you look at all of your polls they are through the roof," he added.
Chairperson of the Republican National Committee Reince Priebus also at the spin alley talked to reporters about Trump's performance.
"He was not as aggressive I thought. No I don't think so. I thought he did a great job and I thought that you know look I think Hillary Clinton flip flopped on TPP and I think one of the points that he made over and over again is look, Secretary Clinton you had the opportunity to do all these great things in regard to ISIS and foreign policy for all of these years and you were secretary of state and you didn't get it done he made that point over and over again." he said.
The debate, the first of three face-to-face matchups between the two candidates, began at 9 p.m. on Monday (0100 GMT on Tuesday). It comes as opinion polls show a tight race between Clinton, a former secretary of state, and Trump, six weeks before the November 8 election. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
