- Story Text: A Palestinian fighter killed in Iraq has been buried back in his hometown in Lebanon.
A Palestinian fighter who was killed in Iraq was buried in Lebanon on Tuesday (April 1).
His body was taken back from Iraq to Lebanon. Hundreds of mourners gathered in the streets of Ain al Hilweh for the funeral. The mourners shouted anti-war slogans and paid homage to what they called a "martyr."
This is the first Palestinian casualty, part of a crowd of volunteers who have pledged to help Iraqis fight against the U.S-led war against Iraq. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
