- Story Text: Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham star in crime film "Parker," about a professional thief who gets betrayed by his partners.
The film, directed by Taylor Hackford ("Ray," "The Devil's Advocate"), follows a Robin Hood ethic as star Statham plays a safecracker who doesn't steal from the poor. He teams up with real estate agent Leslie Rogers, played by Jennifer Lopez, to get even with his former crew.
In the movie's trailer, Lopez is shown stripping down to her underwear so Statham knows she's not wearing a wire.
"It was incredibly nerve-wracking," said the 43-year-old actress on filming that scene. "My heart was beating out of my chest during the first take. I didn't know what it was going to look like. Even though you know what you look like, you don't know what you look like you know what I mean? Until you see it far. You just think of all those things and kind of get mentally prepared and know that it's part of the acting and just go with it."
"For me I wasn't nervous at all," Statham joked. "I was really excited. This was a great day for me. I don't know what you're talking about. I felt the total opposite."
The action-packed movie shows Statham rolling out of a car at high speeds, a scene the star says he did on his own.
"Having someone do something you can do yourself - there's no reward in that," said the 45-year-old actor. "Every time you sort of test yourself, you're subjecting yourself to some sort of adrenaline rush or something that you think you can do or maybe think you can't do and you actually do achieve that. There's a great feeling for that."
