- Story Text: Borussia Dortmund fans gathered on Friday (May 24) at the city's stadium to board buses bound for London and all-German Champions League final against Bayern Munich at Wembley stadium on Saturday (May 25).
Thirteen buses packed with enthusiastic fans were set to travel the 8 to 10 hour journey to the British capital while a second motorcade of buses was due to follow two hours later.
"We are really up for it," one Dortmund fan, Linus Eierbrock, said. "We just want to go. And when we'll go we will rock England."
And for some fans personal sacrifices were nothing compared to the prize on the horizon, as Udo Schikowski told Reuters: "I only slept for three hours because I came straight from a night shift. But I am so proud that our Ruhrpott (area along river Ruhr, home to Borussia) boys go there. And we will bring that thing home!"
According to one fan, the supporters will gather in London's iconic Trafalgar Square, early on Saturday (May 25) to see double decker bus painted in Dortmund's black and yellow colours.
Dortmund are in London without injured midfielder Mario Goetze, who is out of the game with a muscle injury.
Bayern are chasing an unprecedented trio of titles for a German club after winning the Bundesliga in record fashion. They also take on VfB Stuttgart in the German Cup final on June 1. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
