Some 30,000 Chileans took to the streets of Santiago on Saturday (January 08) to celebrate the first "Love Parade" in Latin America, the electronic music world's primary celebration.
The revelers paraded through the streets of Santiago blasting electronic music and dancing. Later they gathered in Forest Park to continue the celebration that will last until dawn.
"So far we are very happy and hopefully we will all stay that way until 6:00 in the morning which will be more or less the time that we will go rest," parade organizer Manuel Martinez said.
Event organizers had estimated the number of people could reach 300,000. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
