- Story Text: Dutch fans assess their side's chances in next year's World Cup finals after drawing Spain, Chile and Australia.
The draw for the 2014 World Cup finals on Friday (December 6) pitched Netherlands up against defending champions Spain, Chile and Australia, producing mixed feelings among fans watching proceedings from Brazil in Amsterdam.
Dutch coach Louis van Gaal says his side, runners up to Spain in 2010, were facing a tough task and his views were echoed by fan David Endt, who watched the draw at a party in Amsterdam.
"For Holland, we are in a very, very difficult group, but it's exactly what Mr. Louis Van Gaal wanted, he wanted to have good strong teams to compete with.
"Former world champion Spain is in our group, and Chile, which is not to be underestimated as well, and Australia, so it will be a very, very tough group, but if you come out strong, I think the mental aspect will be very important, they will be sure that they are strong enough to go far away in the World Cup."
