- Story Text: Actor James McAvoy says he thinks the next X-Men movie is 'going to be the biggest yet'.
McAvoy who stars in the superhero franchise as mutant Charles Xavier has just finished shooting the latest installment - 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past', in Canada.
Speaking while promoting his new release 'Filth', McAvoy said he's not seen any footage from the new X-Men yet, but he thinks it will do well: ''I never watch footage when I am making it.'' ''We have a cast to die for really, so it has it all going for it and on paper, it's going to be epic and massive, you'll have to wait and see I am very excited about it, I think it's going to be the biggest X-Men yet.'' Directed by Bryan Singer the sixth film, which also stars Hugh Jackman and Michael Fassbender, is due to be released in May 2014.
Another much talked about project is a follow-up to 1996 cult classic 'Trainspotting' written by Irvine Welsh.
The Scottish novelist, who also wrote Filth, explained he's waiting for the right script: ''The real barrier is still the script now, you want to have a script that's really spot on and it's kind of hard to do as I think a sequel has got to be better than the original basically and it's hard to get something that's better than 'Trainspotting.'' ''It can be done - we just done it with Filth! It's a tough one - you know after 'Filth' it's like asking for lightning strike three times, it's a tall order.'' He said.
At the press event for 'Filth' in London on September 30th, McAvoy also offered an insight into his celebrity life.
McAvoy stars in the graphic thriller as a troubled, sex-obsessed police officer trying to cope with the breakdown of his relationship.
Despite his high profile, McAvoy says it's rare he gets stopped on the street except when he's on televsion a lot promoting a new project.
However he did recently get spotted, even though he had a motorcycle helmet on: ''I have a full face helmet, although one person the other day did recognise me through my helmet and all they could see was my eye and I thought wow either they have got really good facial recognition skills or they're a proper stalker and I should be quite scared!'' 'Filth' opened in the UK on October 4th. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
