"This is the vote of the Egyptian people that represents the people's opinion, the election is fine and fair, I hope it passes off calmly and my I hope My God protect us," Fouad Mohamed said.
Egypt's local newspapers rolled out on Thursday with celebratory titles marking what is being dubbed as the Arab world's first free presidential election in six decades.
The results of expatriate vote have been published today to layout a map for the second day of voting.
"The revolution should be a success, we know the candidates who are representing the revolution and we also know the candidates who are trying to fall on the race via a parachute. We know who struggled and we also know who was killed, but I can see that there are good candidates who are representing the revolution are moving in a straightforward way in the presidential race and I hope they win. Also I hope that people vote for the right one who represents us as revolutionaries," Alexandria resident Mohammed Marzouk said.
