- Story Text: The first groups of Croatia supporters braved the rain and started gathering early in the Polish city of Poznan for Thursday's ( June 14) group C match against Italy.
Despite miserable weather, and a long journey to Poland from Croatia, their spirits had not been dampened.
"It is a bit cold, but we will get there, things will heat up and we will relax and everything will be superb, including the 2-0 win for Croatia," Jere, from Kastela, said.
Another fan, Ivam, added: "Things haven't kicked off yet, we have to wait for our guys who partied here till four last night to get up."
Some of them travelled by plane, but the majority drove around 1,600 kilometres to get to Poznan.
Italian supporters were nowhere to be seen, but it was expected they would gather at the Poznan Old Market later on Thursday. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
