Czech supporters arrived in Geneva on Sunday (June 15), after travelling all night to see their team play against Turkey in the decisive and last group A match at Euro 2008.
"You know, we came with the bus from the Czech Republic and we have all day to spend here in Geneva, and we have to prepare for the match in the evening, and I think that we will win," said Czech supporter Mirka who had just arrived at the stadium with a group of friends.
"Turkey is good player, but I expect the Czech Republic will win," added Czech supporter David, after parking his car just next to the stadium after having driven 12 hours from South Moravia in Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic beat co-hosts Switzerland 1-0 in their opening game, before losing to Portugal 3-1.
Turkey lost 2-0 to Portugal before beating Switzerland 2-1 to leave both teams with three points each and a goal tally of two for and three against going into the decider.
Portugal have already won the group and sealed their place in the last eight face and Switzerland in Sunday's other Group A game in Basel.
Joint hosts Switzerland have already been eliminated. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
