- Story Text: Rafael Nadal continued his successful return from injury on Sunday (February 17), beating the Argentine, David Nalbandian, in the final of the Brazil Open.
It only took two sets (6-2 6-3) for Nadal to see off the Argentine and win his first trophy since returning from an eight month layoff due to a troublesome knee.
In the post match news conference, however, the 11-time Grand Slam champion was cautious.
"My main priority is to celebrate today's title victory- it's an important title for me-, think about Acapulco and not think about anything else. We are not in a position to think about weeks ahead, we are going to go day by day, week by week and see how my knee responds in Acapulco. We are going to assess the situation when this batch of clay tournaments finishes, and analyse what happened during these three tournaments which I planned on playing," he said.
Nadal will next play at the Mexican Open, starting on February 25. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
