- Story Text: Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic went to kick a ball about in front of the Eiffel Tower on Wednesday (July 18), following an official confirmation by French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) that they had signed the striker in a three year deal.
Posing with his new PSG strip for photos with journalists, Ibrahimovic also played around with a football in front of a large crowd of fans gathered to greet him in the centre of Paris.
Ibrahimovic became the latest star signing for the big-spending club following the arrival of Brazil's 27-year-old centre back Thiago Silva at PSG last week.
The club declined to give financial details of the Ibrahimovic deal but fans said the signing marked a new era for PSG.
"When the Qataris arrived we expected stars to come with them but from that to Ibrahimovic in two years is incredible. He's an amazing striker who's come to PSG and it's true that it's the start of a new era, definitely," PSG fan Baptiste said.
"He's a very impressive player, and the way he looks as well, he's very big, stacked, and to see a football star like that, there's Messi, there's Ronaldo and there's Ibrahimovic," another fan, Alexandre added. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
