- Story Text: A roadside bomb went off close to an Iraqi police patrol in Baghdad on Tuesday (April 11) wounding two people, one of them was a policeman, police said.
The attack took place in al-Za'faraniya neighbourhood of northeastern Baghdad.
Police said that a police vehicle was damaged in the attack.
In a separate incident, a bomb attack on a small bus killed three people in eastern Baghdad, police said.
"A Kia (minibus) targeted the Shi'ites in Sadr city. We are not sure if it is an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) planted in the vehicle or an explosive belt. Three killed and another one wounded in the blast," said Raed Ashour, an eyewitness from Sadr city.
Police said nine people were also wounded in the blast in Sadr City, a stronghold of radical Shi'ite cleric and militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr, whose supporters are part of Iraq's main Shi'ite Alliance. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
