- Story Text: Tom Cruise hit Hollywood on Saturday (May 20), unveiling a giant sarcophagus as part of a promotion for his upcoming film, "The Mummy." The action star pressed a button, revealing a 75-foot, 7-ton statue at Los Angeles' Hollywood and Highland shopping center.
In the film, Cruise fights to save the world from an ancient princess, played by Sofia Boutella, who is awakened in modern day and seeks revenge on mankind.
Cruise, along with Boutella, both spoke about the history of "The Mummy" franchise, which stretches back to the 1932 original film starring Boris Karloff.
