- Story Text: The mosque thought to have been attended by suspected Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi condemned the attack on Wednesday (May 24).
Crowds of international and local media camped outside the Islamic Centre and Didsbury Mosque, which was being guarded by police.
Mosque trustee Fawzi Haffar said the attack which killed at least 22 people on Monday (May 22) "shocked us all". He also vehemently denied some media reports that Abedi had ever worked at the centre.
Halina Khan, a member of the mosque, said she did not know Abedi and that the centre would never tolerate any form of extremism.
Police were continuing investigations at a semi-detached house in nearby Fallowfield, where Abedi is believed to have lived. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
