- Story Text: Happy Manchester United supporters left the Friends Arena in Stockholm on Wednesday (May 24) evening after their team finished the season on a high note by winning the Europa League.
The English team beat Dutch team Ajax Amsterdam 2-0.
Afterwards even some Dutch supporters agreed Manchester United were the worthy winners.
"They were better and Ajax can't give the pressure that they used to give and Manchester United is a stronger team physically. I think they deserved it," said Stanley from Amsterdam.
It was an emotional triumph that followed Monday's (May 22) suicide bombing at a pop concert in Manchester that left 22 people dead and 64 injured.
"It was amazing. We've come here from Manchester. We've had a terrible day the other night because of that terrible bomb, but we've come here and had a smile on our face. We've just had an amazing time. United have won," said United fan Tim, from Manchester. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
