- Story Text: Borussia Dortmund returned home victorious on Sunday (May 28) after beating Eintracht Frankfurt to win the German cup in Berlin's Olympic Stadium.
Thousands of fans were on the streets to greet them as the team bus drove slowly through the city centre in glorious sunshine, with coach Thomas Tuchel and the players celebrating on board and holding the trophy aloft.
Dortmund snapped their German Cup jinx when they edged past Eintracht 2-1 on Saturday (May 27) to win the trophy after losing the three previous finals, and end their eventful season on a high.
The victory completed an amazing turnaround for Dortmund whose season looked in tatters following a bomb attack on the team bus in April that left defender Marc Bartra injured and the team in shock. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
