I think the belief is we have to believe in society and that we should feel okay to come out to any sporting venue, any music venue without the real worry of somebody trying to harm us. Society, that's the situation we have at the moment and it's a very small minority of people and we have to carry on as we are and believe that the majority of us are good." POLICE TAKING PHOTOS FOR CHELSEA FANS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARSENAL FAN, NABIL, SAYING: "Not really, not really. Listen, life goes on, it's quite unfortunate. Certain people, some fanatics want to go out on the rampage and kill innocent people. Listen, we won't let it stop us and life goes on you know? So, we just have to be brave, bold, get out there, send a statement to them saying no matter what you do to us we'll still be out there having a good time, you know? And may all the souls rest in peace as well, yeah." (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA FAN, ANDREW BARHAM, AND YOUNG CHILD, HENRY BARHAM, SAYING ABOUT WHETHER THEY WERE CONCERNED ABOUT ATTENDING GAME: HENRY: "It did to me." ANDREW: "It did to him. So, he was nervous but we tried to reassure him that obviously, you've got to get on with these things and hopefully it happens once on occasion but you hope it's just not on your day. Fingers crossed, we hope it'll go well today and we won't have any incident. You know, looking forward to enjoying it." - Story Text: There was a strong police presence outside Wembley Stadium on Saturday (May 27) ahead of the FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea.
Armed police stood guard at Wembley Park Tube Station and other areas outside the main stadium for the first major sporting event in the UK since Monday's suicide attack left 22 people dead at a music concert.
Some fans revealed they had concerns about attending the game.
A win for Arsenal would see them pick up their third FA Cup trophy in four years with questions surrounding the future of manager Arsene Wenger.
If Chelsea can beat their London rivals, it will see their Italian coach achieve a rare league and cup double in his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
