Czech Greenpeace activists held a sit-down protest with a difference outside the U.S. Embassy in Prague on Monday (June 5), against U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement.
Sitting on toilets with their pants down and wearing Trump masks, five activists demanded the U.S. president "Give a shit about climate change" and commit to reducing emissions of greenhouse gases generated by burning fossil fuels that are blamed by scientists for warming the planet.
Trump on Thursday (June 1) said he would withdraw the United States from the landmark 2015 global agreement to fight climate change, drawing anger and condemnation from world leaders and heads of industry.
With his action, the United States will walk away from nearly every other nation in the world on one of the pressing global issues of the 21st century. Syria and Nicaragua are the only other non-participants in the accord, signed by 195 nations in Paris in 2015. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
