12.46.40 MANDELA: ...again I must start off by saying my president here needs no introduction...
12.47.10 WIDE ESTABLISHER
12.47.31 ...SADC...we have discussed these matters for more than an hour. He also briefed me on the question of the elections in Zambia...there are differences between the government party & the opposition led by Dr Kenneth Kaunda.
12.47.59 This of course is a matter of great concern to all of us especially because it involves Zambia....
12.48.37 ...Zambia is our second home. We discussed the question of elections and my president here made a suggestion...
what we are interested in is a settlement...he is a man with a great deal of responsibility...
12.49.21 ...I am satisfied with our discussion and I am satisfied that we made good progress which can bring about a solution in Zambia...
12.49.42 CHILUBA: ...I came to consult...discussions have been very well conducted and perhaps we will continue to consult. That's how eloquent I am.
12.50.51 CUTAWAY
12.51.03 CHILUBA: I'm only generally concerned about all political parties...the elections this year..have been very heavily contested...there are 5 presidential aspirants...but one you have one or two people complaining naturally you have to listen to them because they too are part & parcle of these all problem and I believe that we'll resolve the problem one way or the other.
