- Story Text: Brazilian president Michel Temer wished Russian leader Vladimir Putin success in hosting the 2018 World Cup on Wednesday (June 21).
Temer came to Moscow with an official visit in the middle of the Confederations Cup - the international tournament that is staged by World Cup host counties a year before hosting sport's biggest prize and was conceived as a way of helping organisers test venues and operations ahead of the big event.
Brazilian president said he was certain Russia will prepare for the competition in time and wished that national teams of the two countries should meet in the final.
The diplomatic agenda of the meeting included signing of the declaration on the strategic cooperation between Russia and Brazil including collaboration in the sphere of nuclear energy. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
