- Story Text: German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Saturday (July 8) thanked police officers for their service during the G20 summit in Hamburg, saying they had performed "an incredible task".
Merkel also announced that Hamburg local authorities and the German government would work hand in hand to ensure the victims of property damage would be compensated.
