So you know we had more studio time in the previous movies than in this one, we had almost no studio time. We were out in the real world with real tourists you know and all the pressures that go with that. But I think it helps the movie and bring another level of energy." WIDE SHOT OF ARRIVAL LINE

- Story Text:Tom Hanks gets to play the smartest man in the world again as he reprises his role as Robert Langdon in author Dan Brown's latest bestseller, "Inferno," which had its film premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 25).
And according to Hanks, even the smartest man in the world would best be advised to be patient when it comes to the upcoming presidential election in the U.S.
"Just wait," laughed Hanks, when asked by Reuters how Langdon would traverse the latest political landscape.
"All you got to do is wait, you know sooner or later November 09 comes around. America votes its hopes and dreams. Never votes its fears, votes for the long haul. One thing after another solution. We will be ok."
Hanks is hoping to be more than ok with "Inferno," the follow up to the very successful previous installments in the franchise, "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons."
Director Ron Howard returns to direct Hanks in the film which finds the famous symbologist on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a madman from unleashing a global virus that would wipe out half of the world's population.
"It was a lot of fun because they they had a great experience making a movie," said Howard. "It's a hard movie. Because we shot very quickly and we shot in the actual locations a lot more than we were able to in the previous two films. So you know we had more studio time in the previous movies than in this one, we had almost no studio time. We were out in the real world with real tourists you know and all the pressures that go with that. But I think it helps the movie and bring another level of energy," Howard added.
For Felicity Jones, the premiere provided a brief break from the attention surrounding the "secrecy" of her other project, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
"Yeah. I can't wait," said Jones, when asked how much she is looking forward to the film's release. "I mean, it would be nice to actually be able to talk about it to my family rather than kind of keeping stumped when they ask me questions. Yeah I can't wait. I am really looking forward to. I think people are going to really enjoy it."
"Inferno" also stars Omar Sy and Jon Donahue.
