- Story Text: Former California governor turned climate action campaigner Arnold Schwarzenegger and Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo signed an agreement on Friday (April 28), uniting the efforts of the two organisations they chair against climate change.
Hidalgo, the president of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group that connects 90 of the world's megacities, and Schwarzenegger, the founder Regions of Climate Action NGO, a coalition of sub-national governments, private, state-run and charitable institutions, signed an agreement to encourage, among other things, actions that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Hidalgo said the signing of the agreement could mean that "the battle against pollution, the energy and ecology transition, the fact that we can reduce greenhouse gasses, could become a reality." - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
