- Story Text:The Vice Chief of the Australian Defence Force, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs, sat down for security and defence talks with the Cambodian Defence Ministry's Secretary of State Neang Phat in Phnom Penh on Tuesday (July 25).
The two delegations discussed the long-standing diplomatic and military relationship between the two countries, as well as plans to work together in the future on counter-terrorism and maritime security, Griggs told reporters. He added that Australia was also developing education opportunities for officers of Cambodia's armed forces.
The vice admiral is in Cambodia for a two-day visit while on a larger regional tour aimed at strengthening military cooperation as well as peace and stability in the region. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
