- Story Text: Seven Nigerian governors traveled to London on Wednesday (July 26), to visit President Muhammadu Buhari who is receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed condition in Britain's capital.
A Reuters journalist saw a convoy of three vehicles arriving at Abuja House, the Nigerian High Commission, or embassy in west London. Oyo state governor Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi, was seen leaving the convoy and walking into the building.
Buhari has been abroad twice this year for health reasons, the first trip, also to London, lasted nearly two months. Buhari left Abuja on May 7 and handed over power to his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, to allay concerns of a void at the top of Africa's biggest economy.
On Tuesday (July 25), a statement from the presidency said that he will return to his official duties as soon as doctors advise that he can end his medical leave. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
