- Story Text: "Wonder Woman" may be coming back for more in 2019 with a sequel already in the works, but until then fans of the blockbuster have the "Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. Studio Tour" which opened on Monday (July 31) in Burbank, near Los Angeles.
The exhibit, on the storied Warner Bros. Studios lot, features costumes and other set pieces from "Wonder Woman" which allow fans of the DC Comics' movie to get up close and personal with items that appeared in the movie.
British actress Lucy Davis, who plays "Etta Candy" in the movie, said she struggles to hold back her excitement when she saw the exhibit.
"So I've only seen some of it, I'm about to go and literally look around and take photos and everything. But as I walked in, me and Gal (Gadot) and David Thewlis' character Ares are the first people as I came in, I was so excited, I was like ... I took five minutes to go just pretend Lucy, pretend that you're very cool. But I was really excited, and to see my outfit, had been quite a long time since I've worn it, but there's a lovely feel about the whole thing and I think it's great that you get to step into it and see everything in 3D," said Davis.
Native American Actor Eugene Brave Rock who plays "The Chief" in the film said it was an honor to portray his culture on the silver screen.
"It's been an honor to be in this film, to represent my people, my culture, my language. I think it's very empowering. The overall message of love conquering all I think that's huge, especially right now in today's society," he said.
"Wonder Woman" was the first superhero movie to star a woman since 2005 and the first to be directed by a woman. It rode to the top of the box office on a wave of good reviews and female empowerment, and is now the second-biggest movie of the year in North America after the live action version of "Beauty and the Beast."
"Wonder Woman" has taken in some $780 million at the worldwide box office.
Warner Bros. announced last week at "Wonder Woman 2" would be released on Dec. 13, 2019. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
