- Story Text: U.S. Vice President Mike Pence affirmed bonds with Georgia on Monday (July 31) when dining with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili in the capital of Tbilisi.
"We are with you. We stand with you, for your freedom and for our shared values," Pence said.
The vice president arrived in Georgia for a two-day visit and is expected to meet with President Giorgi Margvelashvili and local opposition leaders on Tuesday (August 1).
He will also speak to U.S. troops participating in the Noble Partner military exercises, two weeks of military exercises with the United States and other partner countries that started on Sunday (July 30).
