The president has repeatedly expressed his confidence in me. We have a good relationship. I talk to him just about every day. I see him several times a week. He calls me late at night on the weekends when something comes into his head and he wants to talk. He may call me at any moment at any time, but it is a very open relationship and it's one in which I feel quite comfortable telling him my views. And he and I have differences of views on things like JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and how we should use it. - Story Text: U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters on Tuesday (August 1) he had a "good relationship" with U.S. President Trump despite differences of opinion.
"I see him several times a week. He calls me late at night on the weekends when something comes into his head and he wants to talk," Tillerson said, with a grin.
Several news articles reported, last month, that Tillerson was considering leaving his post.
The speculation over Tillerson's remaining in Trump's cabinet came after days of Trump publicly attacking Attorney General Jeff Sessions. - Copyright Holder: STATE DEPARTMENT TV
