No one leaves because they just simply want to, they leave out of necessity. But we are not only defending our fellow countrymen, we are fighting for all migrants around the world because it is a human right to live free of misery, to search for a more honourable way of life. That is what all migrants do, they go to work honourably. They are not delinquents and they should be respected. On the 29th of August I will be in Los Angeles, California (United States) to express, once again, our support for all migrants from this attack by (U.S. President) Donald Trump. We are not going to disrespect Trump but we are going to make him be understand that nothing gets resolved with walls, nothing gets resolved by militarizing borders. We have to cooperate in order to develop. There has to be different policies so that there is economic growth, employment, and well-being in all Latin American countries. That is how we resolve the immigration problem and all of the social problems. Not with the use of force." LOPEZ OBRADOR LEAVING

- Story Text: Mexican leftist presidential hopeful Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador met with Ecuador's President Lenin Moreno on Thursday (August 03) as part of a regional tour to discuss his political platform for Mexico ahead of elections next year.
Following their closed door meeting, Lopez Obrador addressed the media, saying that he would fight for not only Mexican migrants but for all migrants around the world.
Lopez Obrador is hoping it is third time lucky in the race to the Los Pinos. He has already lost two elections and blamed voter fraud for his losses in both. But under a combatant President Donald Trump and an unpopular President Enrique Pena Nieto in Mexico City, experts say Lopez Obrador has a good shot to be Mexico's leader. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
