- Story Text:Taiwan's foreign ministry said on Thursday (August 3) it had found a new location for its representative office in Nigeria.
The announcement came after armed guards had sealed Taiwan's representative office in Abuja in late June caving in to pressure from China, according to foreign ministry officials.
Nigeria has reportedly requested Taiwan to move its representation from the capital Abuja to the city of Lagos, where according to Taiwan's Asian and African affairs director-general, Chen Chun-shen, a suitable location has already been identified. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
