- Story Text:Several thousand German soccer fans descended on Gelsenkirchen's Veltins Arena stadium on Sunday (August 6) to celebrate the traditional Schalke day.
The day's highlight was the presentation of the new team and fans' expectations were high.
One woman said the most important thing to her was that the new season would be better for her team than the previous one.
Another Schalke 04 fan expressed confidence that his favourite team was in "good shape" now that several players "who did not fit" were no longer there.
