ZUMA TALKING / HUGGING AN ANC OFFICIAL (SOUNDBITE) (English and Xhosa) ANC SUPPORTER, STHEMBISO MZOBE, SAYING: "I'm so excited because the opposition, we gave what they always want. So, I don't know what else they'll want because we gave them what they want. Now they must leave Zuma to lead the organisation and stay in power." But we are disappointed because we have worked hard to make sure that we gonna, that Zuma gonna fall. But we won't give up."

South Africa's President Jacob Zuma, exultant after defeating a no-confidence motion in the national assembly, said on Tuesday (August 8) that his African National Congress (ANC) party was united and the opposition could not take power through parliament.
The scandal-plagued president told a cheering crowd that the opposition pumps propaganda through media saying the ANC is no longer supported by the people. He also added that the ANC remains untouchable.
Firebrand politician, Julius Malema, however told the crowds gathered outside parliament that it is the first time in history the ANC supported opposition parties in a motion against Zuma.
Had Zuma lost, he and his entire cabinet would have had to step down. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
