Both the Spanish and French authorities need to know what happened and why they came. We need to know the reasons for this trip, why they were here, was it to check out the scene, did they need to retrieve something, or was it to meet people... That's why we're working on those aspects." PARIS PROSECUTOR FRANCOIS MOLINS LEAVING ROOM

- Story Text: Paris prosecutor Francois Molins confirmed on Wednesday (August 23) media reports that suspects of the Cambrils attack had traveled from Spain to Paris prior to carrying out their attack.
French and Spanish police are investigating why suspects traveled up to Paris and back over two days.
Molins said it was hard to believe the suspects would do so just to go shopping, referring to reports that payments were made by one of the suspects in electronics chain FNAC.
In Cambrils, a car rammed passersby before its occupants got out and tried to stab people. The five assailants, who were wearing what turned out to be fake explosive belts, were all shot dead by police, while a Spanish woman died in the attack. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
