- Story Text:Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka reaffirmed support for NATO's mission in the Baltics on Tuesday (May 24) after a meeting in Prague with his Lithuanian counterpart Algirdas Butkevicius.
The prime ministers discussed about security in the Baltic region ahead of a NATO summit in Warsaw.
The Czech Republic participates in the NATO air policing mission over the Baltics, which includes the rotating presence and patrols by forces belonging to member states.
"One of the main issues (during the NATO summit in Warsaw) will be reinforcement of the alliance's presence in east Europe," Sobotka said.
"I think that it is important for NATO to demonstrate its unity and solidarity and the Czech Republic is ready to take part in this process," he added. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
