  • Story Text:Veteran actor Robert De Niro walked the red carpet in Cannes on Monday (May 16), for a special and unique screening of his latest film 'Hands of Stone'.
    De Niro signed autographs for fans before heading to the screening with fellow actors, director Jonathan Jakubowicz and producer Harvey Weinstein.
    'Hands of Stone' sees De Niro in classic form playing the manager of boxing legend Roberto Duran.
    The story follows the Panamanian fighter as he takes on rival Sugar Ray Leonard, played by R+B star Usher.
    De Niro is no stranger to the film festival, having both served on the festival's Palme d'Or judging panel, and acted in two award winning films, with 'Taxi Driver' in 1976 and 'The Mission' a decade later.
    Hands of Stone is set to premiere in the U.S. on August 26.
