- Summary: LONDON, UK (MAY 16, 2016) (REUTERS) (SOUNDBITE) (English) ENGLAND MANAGER ROY HODGSON SAYING OF MARCUS RASHFORD: "I'm pleased that someone who's had such an outstanding end to the season, a young player who I think has obviously got a future if he can continue to develop as he's developed so far, it's great to be able to include him. And then there's no reason if he does exceptionally well why he couldn't knock someone off their perch. But I must make it clear that will be harder than some people would expect, because people who have played over the last two years and have done a very good job for us in helping us to qualify they, they're not going to be easy to knock off their perch"

- Story Text: Manchester United's teenage forward Marcus Rashford was the one surprise in England manager Roy Hodgson's provisional 26-man squad for the European Championship named on Monday (May 16).
Rashford, 18, made his United debut in February and ended the season with seven goals from 16 appearances, including two on his Premier League debut.
Hodgson selected five strikers in his provisional list, which will be reduced to 23 before the tournament in France, with Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge the others.
The England manager told a news conference at Wembley on Monday that Rashford could "knock someone off their perch" in the squad.
He said injuries meant England needed to start with more than the regulation 23, plus they play warm-up matches against Turkey, Australia and Portugal on May 22 and 27 and June 2, whilst Manchester United players have the FA Cup on May 21 and Liverpool are in the Europa League final on May 18.
Wayne Rooney remains captain and Hodgson said with such a young squad "who knows where that will lead us".
England face Russia, Slovakia and Wales in Group B of the 24-team tournament that starts on June 10 in France.
