  • Story Text: The stars of The BFG walked the red carpet on Saturday (May 14) for the film's world premiere in Cannes. Director Steven Spielberg was accompanied by wife Kate Capshaw. Joining Spielberg on the red carpet were actors Mark Rylance, Rebecca Hall, Jemaine Clement and the star of the film, 11-year-old Ruby Barnhill.
    Pregnant American actress Blake Lively walked the Cannes carpet for the third time so far since the start of the festival.
    Following some thirty years after the magic of 'ET The Extra-Terrestral' is Spielberg's big screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's much treasured children's novel. The film tells the tale of an orphaned child and mysterious giant who journey to Giant Country to face all the wonders and perils of this mystical land.
