- Summary: 1. CU INTERIOR Dr. Ibrahim Yasdi, adviser to the Ayatollah khomeini speaking in English. 1.12 2. SV Dr. Yasdi showing photographs of tortured prisoners from secret files of SAVAK. (2 SHOTS) 2.37 YASDI: "Well the rumours are not correct. I heard some of the rumours that you are referring to, is that there are thousands of political prisoners in Iran's prisons. This is absolutely incorrect. Number one, they are not political prisoners. They are those people who have committed murder. The total number are these people who have committed murder. They are the head of the military government who has actually participated in the killing of the people in the Bloody September for example: in 8th and 9th last September. Those who they massacred in (INDISTINCT), in (INDISTINCT), in Hamadan, in Kerman, in Shiraz, or in Isfahan, or Teheran, and in Mashad. These are the people that are now arrested. The total number as was we know in that prison is one thousand, not 8,000 as some of the European or American papers have reported. These are the documents which we captured after the fall of the SAVAK. These are the secret documents of the SAVAK. Now if you look at this picture, you can see that this man has been killed under the torture, and look at the eyes, the eye-ball has been popped out of the eye, because of the torture. These are all the secret documents from the SAVAK. This is another political prisoner who was tortured to death under the SAVAK rule. From the same people that now are arrested; such as Mematollah Nassiri, the head of the SAVAK. Husseini, the well known torture known as Hussein himself, his son and his wife. This is another picture. This is a picture of one of the well known (INDISTINCT). You can see he has been tortured and his face, and the side of his body are burnt. That is another lady, again in her chest you can see, in her hand you can see that one. This is another picture. Look at the picture of this lady, completely deformed under the torture."
