How long do you think, at the present rate, the South Vietnamese military forces will have to assist the Cambodian forces?" GENERAL TRI: "Of course we help them and are with them now we are in their territory. But the question is very difficult for me to answer, because it's a problem between the two Government to see how to assist the Cambodian Army. It's not for me as Field Commander to take care of this problem." REPORTER: "Assuming you push the North Vietnamese and Vietcong into North East Cambodia and Southern laos--are your troops prepared to pursue them to those areas?" GENERAL TRI: "It's not my responsibility to make such pursuits of persons. I'm mobilising only in my three Corps area of responsibility." Initials BB/V/BOB/BB Script is copyright Reuters Limited.
