HOWEVER THEY ALSO DISCLOSE THEIR WEAKNESS SO THIS TIME WE COULD CATCH THEIR WEAKNESS SO I THINK IN THIS AREA THE VC'S HAD A VERY HARD TIME TO FIGHT WITH US BECAUSE ALREADY WE CAUGHT AND DISCOVER THEIR WEAKNESS AND THEY ARE....AND IT IS MUCH EASIER TO FIGHT FURTHER. "MENG-HO": 45-65 FT Means "fierce tiger". Every Korean soldier in the Tiger Division always greets an officer of the Tigers with the normal salute and at the same time says "MENG-HO". Pronounciation is understandably distorted by the troops in much the same way "halt", "sir", &c. are unrecognisable at times in the English-speaking armies. Whenever a soldier of the Tigers is seen saluting a Tiger officer, you can be sure that he says "MENG-HO. It is also used as a battle cry for the Tigers, and generally taken as a greeting among themselves. BUGLERS: 65-85 ft Two buglers playing a section of Korean equivalent of Reveille - 2 shots. Insert or overlay material can be taken from reel 12 - shots 17-22 - flag-raising & general HQ area (camp). This is done at dawn. TAE-KWON-DO: 85-100 ft Pronounced at-kwon-doe (ta as in cat). Zig-zag pattern of trenches as night sentries take their positions. Note how troops can retreat yard-by-yard back thru trenches - also defend position from various sides 17-22. Shots in Qui Nhon town. This was previously acknowledged most "unsafe" large town in South Viet-Nam - now under Korean protection with terrorism almost nil. FINIS Initials JRS/VS/JH/FAS NOTE: TAE-KWON-DO pronounced ta-kwon-doe (ta as in cat). Tae-Kwon-Do is often erroneously called karate in western countries. This is only partially correct, as tae-kwon-do includes karate among other skills. First few shots of Tae-Kwon-Do and wrestling are of troops in Jaegu Company - see reel 10. This reel could be incorporated with reel 10 if necessary as Jae Koo Hamlet is named after Jaegu Company and is defended by Tiger troops. sound may be bad & camera noise evident - impossible to muffle due to restricted space, &c. There is sound-piece on radio station. This could be incorporated with reel 11 of Jae Koo Namlet - named after Company - which the Tigers defend. First few shots of reel 11 are of troops relaxing with physical sport at Jaegu Company position - follows on from this reel. Script is copyright Reuters Limited. All rights reserved
