This started when I visited a Cacti exhibition in Lalbagh, Bangalore in 1990. I came back and decided to grow some of these plants in my house. I planted few saplings of the Cereus tree. I planted a four-inch sapling, which grew to 40 feet (12 metres) and set a national record. Then it grew about 50 feet (15 metres) and has been growing since then.
