- Story Text: Shirtless and wearing a mask to look like Russian President Vladimir Putin, activist Jeff Jetton affixed one hundred plastic sex toys to the bronze Charging Bull statue near Wall Street and climbed on top on Monday (July 16).
It was part of a political protest meant to denounce that day's meeting between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in Finland.
"The point of the hundred dildoes is to showcase what a mockery this administration is and their ties to the Kremlin," said activist Jeff Jetton during an interview with Reuters on Wednesday (July 18).
Jetton performed his stunt in the early morning hours on Monday and later received a notice to appear in court next from the New York Police Department.
Jetton said this was not his first political protest against Trump and his ties to Russia and said it won't be his last.
"Why isn't everybody doing this? I mean I see people taking to social media and voicing their complaints. But I feel like we should all be out in the streets. This is so maniacal and diabolical. These people are horrible human beings and they are running our country."
