- Story Text: Chris Weitz, the director of Nazi-hunting drama "Operation Finale" has been discussing the film's "resonance."
It stars Oscar Isaac as Peter Malkin, the man leading a team of Israeli intelligence officers assigned to capture former SS officer Adolf Eichmann, played by Sir Ben Kingsley, in 1960.
Weitz, who is perhaps best known for directing films such as "About A Boy" and co-directing the teen comedy "American Pie," was shooting "Operation Finale" in Argentina at the same time as the Unite The Right march was taking place in Charlottesville.
He told Reuters: "I began to think that the movie was more and more timely in terms of what was addressed. I mean, I hate to say I'm happy about that but I think that it's good to be a film that manages to have more resonance than it would have had."
